Position Overview The property manager is responsible for the overall operations of the property. This includes ensuring efficient operations, overseeing supplier contracts, maintenance, lease administration, and monthly reporting. This position also creates a positive experience for the residents, associates, and clients.

Responsibilities

Manage day‑to‑day property operations including resident satisfaction and retention, full resident lifecycle activities (lease administration, rent collection and delinquency management), property P&L, and property marketing in accordance with company standards.

Meet client expectations and provide excellent customer service.

Recruit, interview, provide corrective feedback, and hire staff.

Create a climate where associates want to do their best by leading, communicating a shared vision, and providing coaching and development.

Execute the strategic marketing plan to attract and retain residents.

Understand the operations guidelines established within the property‑management agreement.

Respond to resident complaints and issues, and serve as liaison to residents and the corporate office regarding common‑area maintenance and enforcement of landlord rules and regulations.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, and building personal networks.

Organize and implement site disaster and emergency evacuation plans.

Manage safety records, property loss claims, and risk‑management initiatives.

Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Two to three years of property‑management experience required.

One to two years of direct management experience required.

Knowledge of resident rental lifecycle activities required.

Real‑estate license preferred or may be required at some locations.

Knowledge of Salesforce.com preferred.

Prior experience with Yardi Voyager or equivalent system preferred.

Skills and Requirements

Very strong organizational and time‑management skills.

Strong interpersonal skills to effectively and sensitively communicate with all levels of management.

Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Sensitivity to confidential matters required.

Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively in a fast‑paced environment with a strong sense of urgency.

Ability to relay technical concerns with adequate detail, quickly and accurately.

Capability to read, write, comprehend, and converse in English.

Ability to use general office equipment: telephone, fax machine, printer, copier, key‑track system.

Excellent customer‑service and interpersonal skills.

Ability to defuse situations involving angry or difficult people.

Must maintain a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance required.
