Reports to: IDD Residential Team Leader or above.

Job Description We are seeking a positive and personable individual to supervise and coordinate activities of Direct Support employees, and to manage operations of 1–3 facilities providing Non-ICF services. They will lead and direct the work of Direct Support Associates and be responsible for the operations of the assigned locations.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervises and coordinates activities of Direct Support employees.

Duties and Responsibilities

Work closely with clinical and professional healthcare staff to maintain communication, provide feedback, standardize procedures, and expedite implementation of person‑centered plans.

Spend adequate amounts of time in the residential facility monitoring and providing feedback to staff on all three shifts in interactions and relationships with people supported, maintaining harmony between employees and clients while serving as a positive role model.

Provide audits for medication administration.

Resolve employee issues and conduct performance reviews.

Ensure employees meet training requirements and attend required events.

Monitor select budget items and stay within guidelines.

Provide after‑hours and on‑call coverage as part of the direct care rotation.

Monitor and provide feedback to employees during all three shifts in interactions and relationships with the people supported.

Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent.

One year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities.

Flexible schedule and availability to provide on‑call coverage as needed.

Ability to lift between 20 and 50 lbs. and provide CPR after certification.

CPR, first aid, NCI and/or MedTech certification, a plus.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 30 lbs. and occasionally pull at least 50 lbs.

Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop as part of regular job duties.

Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle or operate objects, tools, or controls.

Required to stand and walk for extended periods.

Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from floor level, which requires working on hands and knees, bending, standing, and lifting.

Vision requirements include close, distance, and peripheral vision.

Must be able to talk and hear.

Exception – Deaf and Hard of Hearing Programs: For these programs only, employees must be fluent in American Sign Language (ASL). The requirement to talk and hear does not apply.

Pre‑employment Screening

Complete criminal background.

Name checked in the registries (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities).

Drug testing.

Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.

Proof of employment history or references (if required).

Positions that require driving: Proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle, IF required for providing transportation for individuals.
