Job Title: Receiving and Distribution Senior Coordinator

Position Type: Regular

Scheduled Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift: Second Shift (Monday – Friday 12:00pm-9:00pm). May work nights and/or weekends as needed for college events.

The Ohio State University College of Dentistry seeks a Receiving and Distribution Senior Coordinator to join the patient care team in Clinic Administration to support the dental clinics. The College’s Instrument Management Services / Shipping and Receiving area in Clinic Administration is an important function in the health care delivery system.

Responsibilities:

Lead a Receiving and Distribution Senior Coordinator position reports to the IMS supervisor.

Provide open to close leadership on the floor and fill in for the supervisor when needed.

Coordinate and monitor stocking of the third and fourth floor student clinics Building B; stocking and verifying completion of operating rooms, supply storage rooms, student clinic labs, supply carts and supply shelves on the clinic floors.

Assist with maintenance and cleaning of the third and fourth floor student clinic labs; perform weekly eyewash station inspections.

Assist in the overall operation of IMS / Stores including receiving shipments via Shipping & Receiving, unloading/unpacking, verification of quantity and condition of orders, issuing and delivering supplies and equipment.

Assist with building mail as needed; responsible for perpetual inventory control chemicals and their disposal.

Provide training for associates on second shift and resolve conflicts or concerns after the first shift leadership team leaves or is out of the office.

General office duties include greeting visitors, answering the telephone, assisting faculty / staff / students and coordinating special event deliveries.

Candidate must be able to:

Work nights and/or weekends as needed for college events.

Lifting/pulling/pushing up to 70 lbs., bending/twisting/turning/reaching below knees and above shoulders on a regular basis.

Stand/walk for periods of time.

Use both hands; excellent hand‑eye coordination, visual acuity and communication/language development.

May be exposed to chemical hazards (skin irritants).

Target pay range: $17.50 - 22.86 based on experience.

Required Qualifications:

Associates degree and 2 years’ experience with inventory control.

Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Must pass health standards and requirements prescribed by law prior to appointment (e.g., hepatitis, vaccination series, and TB test).

Desired Qualifications:

4-6 years’ experience with inventory control.

Experience using a personal computer and Microsoft Office.

One year’s experience in an in‑person customer service setting.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Experience with a professional dental background is preferred.

The position requires successful completion of a criminal background check and drug and alcohol screening. Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post‑offer process.
