Join a multidisciplinary team supporting the Air Force Civil Engineer Squadron at the U.S. Air Force Academy. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with environmental standards and maintaining state‑of‑the‑art facilities for future Air Force leaders.
Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Maintain Pollution Prevention (P2) program compliance and manage data in government systems (e.g., eDASH, EESOH‑MIS).
Track hazardous material/waste usage and disposal.
Advise units on P2 requirements and record‑keeping.
Calculate and confirm P2 metrics.
Train installation personnel and contractors on environmental programs.
Prepare spill reports and update Environmental Management Plans.
Assist with environmental permits and renewals.
Support compliance inspections and audits.
Collect project‑related data, including field visits.
Work independently and assist senior staff on larger projects.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field.
5+ years of technical/field experience preparing environmental documents.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel).
Strong environmental writing and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
U.S. Citizenship (required by client contract).
Ability to pass a government background check.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior Air Force Civil Engineering Squadron environmental flight experience.
Experience with Air Force Pollution Prevention programs.
Ability to work on‑site at the U.S. Air Force Academy.
