We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Operations Associate to join our Operations team. This individual will play a key role in supporting daily cash movement functions, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing funds, wires, checks, and ACH transfers. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a broker‑dealer environment and a strong understanding of FINRA/SEC regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Process and reconcile daily cash transactions including incoming/outgoing wires, ACH transfers, and check deposits.
Monitor and manage firm and client funding requests, ensuring all movements are properly documented and compliant.
Collaborate with internal teams such as compliance, operations, and client service to resolve discrepancies or funding issues.
Maintain accurate records of all cashiering activities in accordance with regulatory and internal audit requirements.
Assist with daily and monthly reconciliations of client accounts and firm bank accounts.
Support onboarding of new clients from a funding and cash management perspective.
Ensure all cashiering processes follow anti‑money laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) protocols.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in cashiering or operations within a broker‑dealer or financial institution.
Working knowledge of industry platforms (e.g., Pershing, NFS, or similar clearing firms) preferred.
Familiarity with SEC, FINRA, and AML regulations as they pertain to funds movement.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet time‑sensitive deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general office software.
