Position: Facility Manager (Warrendale, Pittsburgh, PA) Pixartprinting, a member of the Vistaprint family and a leader in the digital printing industry, is opening a new facility in Warrendale. We are seeking a Facility Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will ensure the effective functioning of the facility, providing an efficient and safe working environment for employees by applying best business practices to manage resources, services, and processes that meet company needs.
Responsibilities
Implement all projects related to the completion of new buildings.
Develop and implement a facility management program including preventative maintenance and life‑cycle requirements.
Conduct and document regular facility inspections.
Ensure compliance with all legal and statutory obligations related to the property.
Ensure the building meets health and safety requirements and that facilities comply with legislation, allocating and managing facility space for maximum efficiency.
Coordinate intra‑office moves.
Supervise maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment.
Oversee facility refurbishment and renovations.
Plan and manage facility central services such as reception, security, cleaning, catering, waste disposal and parking.
Obtain quotes and tenders from vendors and suppliers.
Calculate and compare costs for goods and services to maximize cost‑effectiveness.
Negotiate contracts to optimize delivery and cost saving.
Coordinate and monitor activities of contract suppliers.
Manage contractor and vendor relationships.
Manage and review service contracts to ensure facility management needs are being met.
Check completed work by contractors and vendors.
Verify payment and invoicing match contract pricing.
Plan and monitor appropriate facility management staffing levels.
Ensure efficient utilization of facility maintenance staff.
Performance manage, develop and train staff.
Prepare and track facility budget.
Advise on and monitor energy efficiency.
Assure security of the facility.
Respond to facility and equipment alarms and system failures.
Qualifications
3‑5 years experience in a similar position within a similarly structured working environment.
Technical background studies (or equivalent experience). Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is an asset.
Excellent knowledge of building management and security regulations.
Strong organizational, negotiation and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and providers.
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and solve issues in a changing environment.
