Position Summary Reporting to the Director of Campus Operations at Rose Hill, the Operations Manager is responsible for supervising and administering custodial services. This position requires evening and weekend hours and must be on-call 24 hours/day for emergencies.
Essential Functions
Manages the delivery of custodial services.
Maintains inventory control of department supplies and equipment.
Develops cleaning schedules and standards that optimize daily operations.
Conducts daily visual field inspections of assigned buildings to ensure Custodial staff is following departmental procedures.
Plans and implements daily cleaning schedules, special cleaning, holiday and break cleaning, summer cleaning and other project work as needed.
Creates, manages, evaluates, coordinates, and administers work programs and techniques using a computerized maintenance management system.
Operates university vehicles in compliance with federal, state and local laws and insurance requirements.
Management Responsibilities Provides strategic leadership and supervises others who supervise. Responsible for hiring, training, developing, managing performance, administering corrective action, making compensation decisions, and managing strategic views at a high level.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in custodial supervision or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid New York State driver’s license.
Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently and effectively.
High level of attention to detail.
Salary Minimum Starting Salary:
$70,000
Maximum Starting Salary:
$85,000
Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills.
