JOB SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of this position is to support the invoicing and transportation for export shipments in accordance with Client work instructions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibility of this position is to create export shipments in accordance with Client work instructions.
Scheduling air and ocean pick up requests with trucking companies and freight forwarders to ensure flow of goods from origin to point of export.
Identifyingand resolvingissues arising during the shipping process
Completing post shipment tasks: such as emailing pre-alerts to Clients, scanning photos, creating ITNs for tracking purposes, and updating system with shipment details
Responding to customer service requests via email and phone
Creating month end reports
Shipping International Hazmat
QUALIFICATIONS
Associates degree and 1+ year work experience in a distributionenvironment or HighSchool diploma (or GED) and 3 + years' work experience in logistics
Exceptional communication, listening, and interpersonal skills. Proficient with Computer, and Microsoft Office Applications. Understands warehouse management systems and processes.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.
Requires lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling of various items of varying weight.
Requires work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
Work requires moderate muscular exertion and/or physical strain such as frequently climbing or, recurring bending, lifting, or lowering of items weight up to 50 pounds.
