Assist staff with field tasks supporting geotechnical projects. Document site observations for construction materials testing (CMT) and geotechnical field work. Perform roles with limited supervision, including: Perform boring and test pit layouts. Prepare drilling packages and obtain utility clearances. Research local geologic history. Assist with supervision of field work performed by drilling/test pit crews and help with rig access issues. Perform in‑situ testing. Classify soils. Inform project staff of changing site conditions and additional testing requests. Qualifications
Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or a similar field. No prior experience required. Professional license not required for this position, but necessary for career progression. A valid driver’s license is required if driving for or on behalf of any ECS subsidiary.
