The Transportation Operations and Planning Coordinator is responsible for the end‑to‑end execution and strategic coordination of outbound and inbound logistics across Hub and Spoke sites. This role drives operational excellence and lowest cost transportation by utilizing the TMS system for load optimization, carrier management, and shipment planning while concurrently ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, continuous performance monitoring, and stakeholder collaboration. This position is the critical link between warehouse operations, carrier networks, and customer supply chain needs.

Key Responsibilities: Logistics Planning & Execution (TMS Focus)

End‑to‑End Shipment Planning: Execute the standardized "Order Drop to Planning" workflow for all order priority levels, to ensure on‑time delivery.

System Optimization: Daily review of the "Unassigned" order query (focusing on the 3‑day horizon), running the system Optimization tool to consolidate orders, and investigating/correcting specific data errors (e.g., capacity, weight, transit time) when optimization fails.

Manual Planning: Utilize manual planning to solve complex constraints and site‑specific restrictions that cannot be resolved by the system optimization.

Replanning & Adjustments: Manage the replanning process when shipping windows are missed or carrier issues arise, entering the correct reason code, cascading stops, and updating the tender/stakeholders promptly.

Offline Shipments: Manage logistics requests via tickets, creating and tendering offline orders, and ensuring critical orders are planned and escalated to the Team Lead if immediate planning is not possible.

Transportation Operations & Stakeholder Coordination

Carrier Performance: Drive carrier and service provider performance for Hub and Spoke locations, developing, monitoring, and analyzing carrier KPIs and metrics to ensure operational efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.

Customer & Stakeholder Liaison: Build and maintain excellent customer relationships by understanding their needs and goals. Serve as the main point of contact for internal departments, vendors, and customers, promptly communicating shipment status updates.

Logistics Flow Management: Coordinate the flow of goods with customers, 3PLs, carriers, and warehouses to streamline the supply chain process and meet critical KPIs.

Issue Resolution: Coordinate and collaborate with multiple parties, including warehouse vendors, to proactively approach and resolve bottlenecks and other issues that may arise in the shipping and receiving processes.

Compliance & Capacity: Support both domestic and international shipments, manage transportation of warehouse inbound/outbound activities, and oversee warehouse and trailer capacity management.

Experience & Qualifications Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience.

1-2 years experience in supply chain, logistics, and/or transportation (preferred).

Demonstrated experience in logistics software and systems, specifically with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and familiarity with ERP/WMS systems.

Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, drive carrier performance, and make informed, data‑backed decisions to improve operational efficiency.

Effective communication, negotiation, and excellent customer service skills.

Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures (a plus).

Self‑starter with the ability to triage and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.

Shift: Tuesday‑Saturday 11pm‑8am (off Sun/Mon).

Pay Range: Negotiable, based on skill set and experience.
