Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell is a non‑profit organization that builds and renovates affordable homes in partnership with families in need. Our mission is to provide strength, stability, and self‑reliance through shelter, with the goal of increasing the number of homes built annually from one to five. Current projects include new home construction in Concord, retrofit of a barn into housing units in Westford, and completion of a rehab in Bedford.
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated part‑time Outreach Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for coordinating volunteers, managing relationships with corporate and community partners, and supporting development and outreach efforts that advance our mission. The Outreach Coordinator serves as a key liaison between volunteers, corporate sponsors, and internal staff, ensuring build days, events, and volunteer activities are well‑organized, communicated, and executed.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, responsive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities, including volunteer scheduling, donor and payment tracking, event support, and general office administration. This position also plays an important role in revenue generation by expanding corporate team build opportunities and cultivating new partnerships, with responsibility for meeting annual fundraising goals. The Outreach Coordinator collaborates closely with the Director of Development, Director of Construction, Finance, and other staff to support successful programs, outreach initiatives, and day‑to‑day operations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage volunteer inquiries from corporations, colleges, schools, scouts, community groups and individuals for build sites and the ReStore.
Respond to new corporate inquiries with sponsorship information and copy Development Director for outreach.
Liaison with corporate sponsors and schedule all corporate team build days.
Communicate relevant build site hours, restrictions and safety information to volunteers.
Coordinate with Development Director to ensure that donations have been arranged prior to scheduling build days.
Assist corporate sponsors with volunteer registration and completion of waivers.
Coordinate "Tuesday Crew" volunteers with Construction Manager by responding to requests and emailing volunteers with weekly schedule changes and needs.
Manage volunteer database and scheduling calendars for build sites and the ReStore.
Recruit and schedule additional volunteers for CHR projects as needed.
Input any paper volunteer data when not registered online, such as assign in sheets or hard copies of waivers from the build site.
Create volunteer reports for development purposes and ExecDirector tracking.
Respond to any office staff requests for volunteer hours or data as needed.
Development Support
Receive incoming payments from donors (checks, EFT notices etc). Note donation category on checks and give to Finance.
Make copies of all incoming checks and payments.
Enter all donor payment information into DonorSnap database.
Create and send thank you letters for donations in specified categories.
Assist with annual appeal mass mailing- collating, addressing, mailing.
Order lunches for corporate team build days, pickup and deliver to build site as needed.
Assistdevelopmentwithoutreachevents and attendevents asneeded, including evening andweekends;dedications,groundbreaking,churchor community events.
Office Management/Admin
Maintain office supplies for copiers, printers, lighting, cleaning, bathroom, break room supplies, and watercooler.
Order all supplies as needed and requested by staffor office cleaners.
Install toner, paper, and lighting as needed.
Retrieve email, open and distribute.
Revenue Generating Responsibility
This role is responsible for raising a minimum of $60,000 in FY26 and $80,000 in FY27 through growing our schedule of team building days and seeking new opportunities & relationships.
Hourly range for this role will fall in the $23 - $27 per hour, based on experience.
