LAND SURVEYING FIELD COORDINATOR

Job Summary We’re seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Land Surveying Field Coordinator to manage and coordinate field surveying activities. The successful candidate will oversee field crews, ensure timely and accurate data collection, and serve as a liaison between field operations and office personnel. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and technical knowledge of land surveying practices and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily field survey operations and scheduling of field crews.
Review project requirements, plans, and specifications to ensure proper planning and resource allocation.
Communicate project goals and timelines to field teams.
Liaise between field crews, project managers, and clients to relay information and resolve issues.
Maintain inventory of field equipment and ensure it is properly maintained and calibrated.
Ensure field safety procedures are followed and report any incidents or hazards.
Assist in training new field staff and ensuring team adherence to standard operating procedures.
Use GPS, robotic total stations, data collectors, and other surveying equipment as needed.
Travel to various job sites as required.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in land surveying, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or coordination role.
Proficient with survey instruments (GPS, Total Stations, Data Collectors) and CAD software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, etc.).
Strong knowledge of surveying methods, boundary analysis, and construction staking.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites.
Preferred Skills
Surveyor-in-Training (SIT) certification is a plus.
Experience working with GIS and drone-based survey methods is a plus.
