Role Summary
Maintains responsibility for driving process and performance improvements focusing on Regional Distribution Centers (RDCs), the Parts Packaging operation, and overall process improvement. Leads business case development, return on investment (ROI) analyses, data-driven decision making, and project execution to optimize efficiency, safety, and quality.
Core Responsibilities
Identifies, designs, and implements continuous improvement (CI) projects primarily focusing on the Regional Distribution Center (RDC) network with crossover into supply chain and logistics functions to drive measurable performance gains.
Develops and manages multiple CI projects concurrently, ensuring on-time delivery, alignment with business objectives, and effective stakeholder communication.
Creates and presents detailed business cases and return on investment (ROI) analyses to justify improvement initiatives and capital investments.
Tracks project performance and ensures that benefits are realized post-implementation.
Analyzes key operational trends across RDCs and supply chain data to identify performance gaps and root causes.
Analyzes and resolves damaged rack issues within RDCs; collaborates with site leaders to implement corrective and preventive actions.
Serves as point person for Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Readiness team to mitigate risk for RDCs including monitoring, tracking, and summarizing accidents and incidents; identifying trends; and supporting facility safety improvement initiatives.
Partners with Facilities, Finance, RDC Operations, Transportation, and Supply Chain teams to align on improvement priorities and resource allocation.
Supports contract reviews and vendor performance evaluations for operational partners.
Leads, coaches, and develops direct report(s), fostering analytical proficiency, professional growth, and CI mindset.
Additional Responsibilities
Develops and maintains custom reports, scorecards, and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), support decision making, and improve visibility of performance metrics.
Uses North American Parts Benchmarking (NAPB) data to benchmark operations and guide improvement priorities.
Provides regular updates including summaries highlighting opportunities, risks, and performance outcomes.
Attends weekly and monthly calls with Dedicated Delivery Service (DDS) carriers to review performance, safety, and service results, and provides feedback as needed.
Attends weekly calls regarding ocean container status to ensure visibility and timely delivery of international shipments.
Works closely with Information Technology (IT) to enhance system data capture, reporting automation, and digital process improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Personal Qualifications
Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, and data visualization tools; SAP or warehouse management system (WMS) experience preferred.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to convert data insights into actionable strategies.
Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational abilities.
Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt) certification, Preferred.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management, data analytics, business administration or related field required,
or
H.S. Diploma and equivalent experience in lieu of degree required.
Master's Degree preferred and may offset required years of experience.
8 to 10 years of relevant professional experience in fixed operations is required.
2 to 4 years of data analytics experience.
Work Environment
Hybrid role:
Onsite 3 days per week / Remote up to 2 days per week (after 90 days).
Prolonged sitting and computer use.
Occasional lifting of equipment up to 20 lbs.
Travel:
Approximately 30%.
Compensation The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $111,500 - $164,000 per year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Additionally, this role is
bonus‑eligible , with a target bonus percentage that provides an opportunity to earn even more based on your performance. (Internal Job Grade: M2)
