Job Summary The Manager, New Business at Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) is responsible for the research and evaluation of new business strategies that bring innovation to HMH. This role involves assessing clinical need, researching emerging trends, determining financial viability, evaluating regulatory impact and securing internal stakeholder champions. The Manager works with stakeholders to develop business plans, and upon approval leads implementation project management for new business lines.

Responsibilities

Research and evaluate new business opportunities from pipelines such as Allspire and The Academy.

Conduct evaluations of prospective opportunities, including assessment of clinical and operational needs.

Develop business plans to analyze financial viability, partnering with operational stakeholders and finance, IT, etc.

After approval by POPTAC, identify workgroup members and lead the group toward implementation.

Determine outcome measurements for each new business.

Work with leadership, including Reimagine HMH, to develop a 3‑year New Business Plan.

Support strategy and regional business development efforts as needed due to network strategic importance or bandwidth constraints.

Develop a network dashboard and metrics to evaluate success and barriers.

Monitor disruptors and identify partnership opportunities.

Prepare presentations for opportunities for Executive Strategy, Strategic Planning Committee, Board and Executive Leadership Team.

Support new ventures until full‑time executives are onboarded.

Monitor compliance with reimbursement and regulatory agency standards, develop policies and procedures to mitigate risk.

Partner with internal stakeholders such as Care Transformation Service leadership and Physician Enterprise leaders to develop clinically valid and financially viable solutions.

Schedule site visits with clinical and operational management across hospitals, clinics and call center offices.

Work closely with Design and Construction and contractors to ensure optimal design and room layout.

Other duties and/or projects as assigned.

Adhere to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

Bachelor's Degree in Administration, Healthcare, Development, or a technical area of expertise.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in planning, consumer industry, or health care services development.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google Suite platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree.

Compensation Starting at $111,924.80 annually.

Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the position may impact the pay that can be offered.

Some jobs may also be eligible for performance‑based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
