Responsibilities
Collaborate with a Product Owner to shape the end-to-end product strategy and determine business value.
Elicit requirements to accomplish team goals.
Support the product owners in collaborating with other teams and leadership to ensure team strategy aligns with overall product vision.
Serve as the day‑to‑day contact for the team on clarification of requirements and drive user stories.
Exercise strong decision‑making mandate across the team as a proxy to the Product or Senior Product Owner.
Stay in sync with the product owners on priorities and day‑to‑day decision‑making.
Utilize market and industry knowledge to translate user needs into user stories and acceptance criteria for their team. Maintain a backlog 3 to 4 sprints ahead of the team.
Define, implement and track performance metrics once a solution enters production.
Prep and support the team on product demos.
Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Minimum of 2+ years of strong experience in a business analyst role.
Knowledge of analytical tools (e.g., Tableau, Python).
Agile ceremony facilitation familiarity.
Key performance indicator (KPI) creation and management.
Knowledge of healthcare provider ecosystem.
Translation of business requirements to technical.
Experience with data analytics.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to think critically, intellectually curious, prioritize, and a desire to learn.
Relationship building and ability to work with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Knowledge of the Agile work process.
Ability to see the big‑picture and has detail‑oriented thinking.
Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office and Google Suite platforms.
Preferred
Background that is comprised of both healthcare provider knowledge as well as expert understanding of high‑quality analytics product delivery.
Job Duties & Compensation The starting rate of pay is provided for informational purposes only and is not a guarantee of a specific offer. Experience: Years of relevant work experience.
Education and Certifications: Level of education attained, including specialized certifications, credentials, completed apprenticeship programs or advanced training.
Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in relevant skills and competencies.
Geographic Location: Cost of living and market rates for the specific location.
Internal Equity: Compensation is determined in a manner consistent with compensation ranges for similar roles within the organization.
Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered.
Some jobs may also be eligible for performance‑based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts. In addition to our compensation for full‑time and part‑time (20+ hours/week) job positions, HMH offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits. Minimum rate of $95,555.20 annually.
