What Will You Be Doing? Material Specialists are involved in receiving, shipping, transporting, issuing, handling and relocating Frontier Airlines’ assets to the appropriate internal customers in accordance with company policies, practices and procedures.
Essential Functions
Perform in a focused material area as an Asset Control Specialist to include but not limited to the turn‑in of unserviceable parts/materials from maintenance, parts to vendor preparation, and secure monitoring of parts beyond economic repair resolution.
Receive materials, ensuring material matches the accompanying documentation, examining material for shortages, overages and obvious damage, and preparing related documentation.
Ensure required tags, labels and markings are affixed to property to reflect identity, status, traceability and condition in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Ship all dangerous goods in compliance with company policies, IATA and CFR 49 regulations.
Complete accurate transactions and inventory count verifications on a multi‑million dollar inventory.
Perform numerous computer transactions daily.
Safeguard company material and ensure warehouse security.
Provide secure storage and handling for sensitive items including Pamper and ESD items.
Expedite requests for Loan and Borrow items from other agencies on site.
Pull and ship AOG items to be processed as COMAT shipments to stations in support of the RON and daily processes. Coordinate through Load Planning and Ramp Services to ensure COMAT shipments are manifested and shipped in a timely manner.
Observe strict FAA and DOT regulatory compliance in all department activities.
Perform daily stores maintenance to ensure physical stores shelving and flat surfaces are dust and litter free.
Maintain familiarization with the training requirements necessary as defined in the GMM 100: Maintenance Training Program and ensure training is current prior to performing the functions and tasks of this position.
Other Functions
All other duties as reasonably requested by the Sr Manager, Materials Management.
Prior warehouse experience required.
Prior parts experience in the airline industry preferred.
Experience in handling and shipping dangerous goods preferred.
Prior operation of material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Valid driver’s license for SIDA badge driving privileges at Phoenix Int’l Airport.
Transport aircraft parts and tooling between hangar and flight line.
Escort delivery vehicles into SIDA‑controlled areas.
Must demonstrate behavior that portrays the company core values of Safety, Respect, Trust, Collaboration, Value and Passion while communicating with personnel and acting on behalf of the company.
Hourly Rate Starts at $22.16 per hour.
Shift Differential
Shift 2 – Swing Shift (1300 – 2059): $0.35 per hour.
Shift 3 – Graveyard Shift (2100 – 0459): $0.50 per hour.
