Quantity Surveyor - US, Ohio - 12 Month Contract

We’re looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join the team and help deliver this world-class program.
What You'll Do
Manage all aspects of cost control and commercial management for assigned work packages. Conduct field-based verification of contractor progress and quantities to support pay applications. Review, negotiate, and recommend approval or rejection of contractor change orders and claims. Provide detailed cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and variance analyses. Work closely with procurement and project controls to align contracts, budgets, and schedules. Ensure value engineering opportunities are identified and implemented where practical. Support dispute resolution by preparing clear, auditable commercial records. Act as a trusted advisor to the owner, ensuring contracts are executed in line with market benchmarks and project objectives. What you'll need
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline. Requires extensive cost/commercial management experience on large CAPEX projects. Extensive field-based experience validating contractor progress and cost claims. Background in pharmaceutical/API manufacturing, biotech, food processing, semiconductor, or other highly regulated/complex industrial sectors. Strong negotiation skills with EPCMs, contractors, and subcontractors. Proficiency with cost management systems and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Prism, Power BI, Excel).
