Porter/Maintenance Technician
Salary:
$21 to $24 per hour

About the Porter/Maintenance Technician Position
Remove trash and other debris from office areas and property perimeter on a daily basis.
Assist in the preparation of market ready units.
Pressure wash exterior buildings, sidewalks, and other surfaces.
Assist with property emergencies such as snow removal, fires, floods, and other inclement weather events.
Clean available apartments and model homes as directed.
Address maintenance concerns related to inclement weather conditions.
Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and curb appeal to promote customer satisfaction.
Preserve and respect applicant and resident confidentiality.
Foster a positive, collaborative relationship with residents, other properties, and associated agencies.
Report any maintenance or life‑safety issues immediately.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Skills and Requirements
Ability to read, write and understand English.
Ability to use general office equipment.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Ability to cope with and defuse situations involving angry or difficult people.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Must maintain professional appearance and comply with prescribed uniform policy.
Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
Must comply with all safety requirements.
Must complete and pass the Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within the first 30 days of employment.
Ability to shovel snow, apply ice melt, and operate a commercial snow blower.
