Job Summary Responsible for the branch material control function relating to the on‑site and off‑site storage, control, and distribution of company‑controlled material and products to meet company objectives and customer requirements. This involves directing and administering inventory control, material storage, and material scheduling activities and processes. This position reports to the Material Control Manager and supervises material control operators and material control analysts, as applicable to the facility.
Key Accountabilities
Supervise physical inventories at branch location to audit, control cut‑off, and facilitate completion of inventory and report generation.
Audit and process adjustments submitted.
Review daily, weekly, monthly inventory reports and take appropriate corrective action if necessary.
Participate in the financial month‑end close process by reviewing and ensuring accurate branch‑level material information is forwarded to Corporate.
Compute cost of scrap sold numbers for branch and generate reports used to monitor scrap activity.
Provide training and documentation on inventory control, physical inventories, and scrap management.
Monitor the job work process to ensure that inventory is accounted for and that adjustments and/or journal entries are processed correctly.
Review and monitor Specials Inventory reports, taking appropriate action to ensure inventory pounds are accurate.
Hire, train, coach, and manage employees to achieve optimum levels of productivity and accuracy. Conduct performance evaluations and disciplinary functions.
Work directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.

Qualifications Minimum Requirements
College diploma, or equivalent education and experience.
Minimum of 1 year of Material Control or Inventory Control experience.
Proficiency using the computer, especially with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a knowledgeable, clear, and positive manner.
Safety Mindset.
Preferred Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
1-2 years of previous supervisory or management experience.
