RN Infection Preventionist
for our
Bristol Glen Senior Care Community
located in Newton, NJ. Bristol Glen is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) thoughtfully designed to provide person-directed care in a home‑like environment, ensuring exceptional care and quality of life for our residents.
Requirements For An RN Infection Preventionist
Current and valid RN license in New Jersey
Certificate of completion of the CDC Nursing Home Infection Prevention training (23 modules)
C.I.C. certification (or willingness to obtain within 1 year of hire)
MS Office and Outlook
Responsibilities For An RN Infection Preventionist
Oversight over all infection control and prevention related activities within the community, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies, CMS, OSHA, state regulations, outbreak investigation, and overall direction of the infection prevention and control program.
Assists with prevention of healthcare‑acquired infections (HAIs) by isolating sources of infections and limiting their spread; systematically collects, analyzes and interprets health data to plan, implement, and evaluate infection control practices.
Responsible for screening, tracking, follow‑up and record‑keeping of relevant health, safety, and exposure data for all staff in compliance with all employment and regulatory standards.
Acts as a community resource, interacting routinely with outside individuals from public health disciplines who seek information, advice or guidance in solving problems related to infection control within the community.
Responsible for surveillance and reporting of nosocomial infections, investigation of infections or clusters of infections as warranted, and microbiological monitoring of the healthcare environment.
Provides education to associates to heighten awareness of nosocomial infections, advise on isolation techniques, and minimize infections among residents.
