As we continue to expand, we’re seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team!
About the Role The Senior Accountant is a pivotal role supporting our Controller, Director of Finance, and President. You’ll be managing accounting functions across multiple branch locations, overseeing critical financial processes, and ensuring our financial operations run smoothly. This is the perfect role for someone with a strong technical accounting background who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and resolving issues promptly.
Support A/P and A/R Specialists with weekly vendor payments, client billing, and collections.
Administer company credit card processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
Ensure timely payroll liabilities reporting, compliance with Certified Payroll, CCIP/OCIP, and union reporting.
Manage general ledger activities, budget vs. actual tracking, and maintain the Chart of Accounts.
Assist with monthly financial close, including balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.
Provide direction and training to accounting staff.
Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
What We’re Looking For
4+ years of construction accounting experience.
Ability to analyze and interpret financial reports and legal documents.
Strong communication, attention to detail, and decision‑making skills.
Independent work ethic with the ability to collaborate in a team environment.
Preferred:
College degree in Accounting, Business, or related field.
Preferred:
Experience with Sage 100 Contractor or similar accounting software.
Preferred:
Payroll administration experience.
