Job Description Conduct all aspects of exploration geophysics, including seismic acquisition, processing, data conditioning, seismic inversion, and calculation of volumetric seismic attributes. Utilize volumetric attribute generation such as dip magnitude, coherence, curvature, and tracking for reservoir evaluation.
Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of seismic quantitative interpretation workflow, including characterization of reservoir mechanical properties and creation of appropriate inversion products integrated with core and petrophysical analysis.
Perform regional and detailed structural and stratigraphic mapping.
Contribute to 2D and 3D regional seismic interpretation and calculations.
Conduct sequence stratigraphic evaluations and develop new drilling trends and opportunities.
Provide deep technical expertise in seismic processing techniques such as geometry building, signal processing, noise attenuation, refraction statistics, FWI, 5D interpolation, compressive sensing, anisotropic tomography, velocity model building, and depth migration.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Geology or Geophysics.
Minimum five (5) years of experience as a Petroleum Geophysicist or a closely‑related occupation involving petroleum geophysics.
Experience must include reservoir analysis and valuation, structural and stratigraphic mapping, 2D and 3D seismic interpretation and calculations, and the use of advanced seismic processing techniques listed above.
Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
