Position Summary This position supports human laboratory studies examining how nicotine product design influences product abuse potential. The role contributes to advancing scientific knowledge and supports clinical research aimed at improving public health. The Clinical Research Assistant works closely with study participants, study investigators, and a multidisciplinary research team to ensure high-quality data collection and adherence to study protocols and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Assist with preparation of study materials, including organizing supplies and setting up laboratory spaces
Assist with participant recruitment and retention activities
Assist with screening participant eligibility according to protocol criteria
Assist with scheduling participant visits and maintaining accurate calendars
Assist with conducting participant visits and collecting data in accordance with specified clinical research protocols and regulatory requirements
Assist with maintaining documentation, completing case report forms, and performing data quality control checks
Assist with coordinating communication among the research team, including investigators, clinical staff, and administrative personnel
Follow all institutional policies related to human subjects research, safety, and confidentiality
Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Health Sciences, or a medically related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications One to four years of relevant experience in clinical research, public health research, behavioral science, or human laboratory settings. Familiarity with human subjects research procedures, REDCap, or structured data collection. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication skills. Comfort working directly with study participants and following structured protocols.
