Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver
Location: South Bend, IN (job may be available in multiple states)
Salary: $15.50/hr - $16.75/hr
Role: Provide direct support to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities. Empower individuals to live as independently as possible while maintaining dignity and respect.
Key Responsibilities Provide hands‑on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
Ensure comfort, safety, and personal growth of individuals served.
Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.
Assist with daily living tasks: moving around, bed transfers, dressing, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene.
Qualifications Person‑centered, patient, and kind.
Dependable, adaptable, flexible.
Observant and detail oriented.
Positive role‑model for others and able to work on a team.
Committed to creating a respectful and collaborative environment.
Computer skills for documentation.
18 years or older.
Successful background clearance required.
Good communication skills: reading, writing, documenting care.
