Associate Behavioral Health Counselor – Hybrid
Join Neighborhood Outreach Access to Health (NOAH) as an Associate Behavioral Health Counselor. This hybrid position requires 1–2 days of on‑site work per week in Glendale, Phoenix, or Scottsdale, with the remainder of the week telecommuting.

Duties & Responsibilities
Perform client intakes and assessments.
Conduct individual, couple, family, or group counseling.
Maintain confidentiality of client records.
Guide clients in developing skills and strategies to manage presenting issues.
Collect client information through interviews, clinical review, observations, and tests.
Prepare and maintain treatment records and reports.
Act as a client advocate to coordinate services or resolve emergency crisis situations.
Develop, implement, and track progress via treatment plans.
Initiate discharge planning as needed.
Utilize professional resources such as case conferences, consultants, supervision, and literature.
Maintain timely clinical documentation.
Participate in audit review, policy development, and quality improvement programs.
Attend meetings, trainings, community outreach activities, continuing education, and other required events.
Participate in weekly supervisory meetings.
Consistently meet position productivity expectations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Knowledge of human behavior, personality, and motivation.
Knowledge of group dynamics, societal trends, culture, and diversity.
Understanding of personalized customer service principles.
Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to interact with diverse backgrounds.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Ability to exercise confidentiality, discretion, and good judgment.
English proficiency; Spanish language preferred.
Education & Experience Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), Counseling (MC), or a related behavioral health field.
Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT) in good standing with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
Preferred Qualifications
One or more years of Behavioral Health Counseling or related work experience.
Other Requirements
New hires must pass a pre‑employment background check and drug testing (effective 11/1/2022).
Current Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card or must obtain it within 7 days following hire.
