Responsibilities
Perform client intakes and assessments.
Conduct individual, couple, family, or group counseling.
Maintain confidentiality of records related to client treatment.
Guide clients in the development of skills and strategies to manage their presenting issues.
Collect information about clients through interviews, clinical review, observations, and tests.
Prepare and maintain treatment records and reports.
Act as a client advocate to coordinate required services or resolve emergency problems in crisis situations.
Develop, implement, and track progress through treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge.
Initiate discharge planning as necessary.
Utilize professional resources as appropriate (e.g., case conferences, consultants, ongoing supervision, and relevant literature).
Maintain appropriate clinical documentation in a timely manner.
Maintain quality care through participation in audit review, policy development and quality improvement programs.
Attend, participate, and/or assist in meetings, trainings, community outreach activities, continuing education opportunities, and other activities as required.
Participate in weekly group and/or individual clinical supervision and oversight.
Consistently meet position productivity expectations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
Knowledge of group behavior and dynamics, societal trends and influences, human migrations, ethnicity, cultures and their history and origins.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing personalized customer service.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with individuals of various social, cultural, and educational backgrounds.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Ability to exercise confidentiality, discretion, and good judgment.
Ability to speak English and Spanish preferred.
Education and Experience
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), Counseling (MC), or another behavioral health related field.
Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT) in good standing with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
Preferred Experience
1+ years in Behavioral Health Counseling or related work experience.
Other Requirements
New hires are required to pass pre-employment background check and drug testing (effective 11/1/2022).
Current Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card or must pass fingerprint clearance within 7 days following hire.
