Sr. Accounting Manager, CPA highly Desired
Our client is searching for an Accounting Manager to be responsible for month end close, financial statement preparation, flux analysis, and oversee accounting team to hit month end deliverables and deadlines.
Looking for CPA from public accounting and then some larger company experience.
Responsibilities
Hands‑on while supervising the accounting staff, general ledger accounting, month end close, and preparing financial statements.
Managing the GL and providing oversight to Accounts Payable (AP), Payroll, and commissions. Team of about 9 in total.
Overseeing producer monthly commissions, with prior experience with commission. Will lead the implementation of a new compensation platform.
Overseeing Accounts Payable team of about 5.
Review and approve the team’s journal entries and account reconciliations.
Strong general ledger month end close, including fixed assets, operating expenses, accruals, prepaid expenses, and more.
Prepare and research budget versus actual variance analysis.
Preparation of schedules for external auditors.
Monitor cash flow and take an active role in working with customers.
Set, comply with, and improve internal controls, policies & procedures.
Requirements
Minimum 8+ years of related working experience.
Management experience required.
CPA or at least Public Accounting experience required.
Ability to operate with a tight close schedule and close check list.
Strong advanced Excel and larger ERP Accounting software experience.
Excellent communication and analytical skills are a must; frequent interaction with senior leadership.
