Join a growing technology consulting team as a Business Analyst in a hybrid role supporting government client relationships and vendor management initiatives. This is a newer team that's spearheading projects with state government entities, with a strong track record of successful placements. The role is approximately 90% vendor-led work where you'll be responsible for requirements gathering, scoping, documentation, and conducting interviews with customers and stakeholders. Day-to-day work involves extensive customer-facing interactions, coordinating between vendors, internal IT teams, and government clients. The position offers a hybrid schedule working Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm (flexible hours available, some work 7am to 4pm), with Mondays and Fridays fully remote and Tuesday through Thursday onsite.

This is an exceptional opportunity to work at the intersection of technology consulting and government services, with direct visibility into major state infrastructure projects. You'll be part of a new team that's building processes and relationships from the ground up, giving you significant influence over how work gets done. The role offers tremendous variety, from vendor management and requirements gathering to creating project documentation and coordinating complex stakeholder relationships. You'll work on projects with timelines extending from 2026 to 2028, giving you long-term visibility and the chance to see initiatives through from conception to implementation. The customer-facing nature of the position means you'll build strong relationships with government entities and big tech customers, expanding your professional network and gaining valuable public sector experience. With 90% of work being vendor-led, you'll coordinate between multiple parties, honing your project management and communication skills. The hybrid schedule with Mondays and Fridays remote provides excellent work-life balance while maintaining collaborative onsite time mid-week. Required Skills & Experience

Experience working with or for government entities (state, local, or federal)

Strong background in business analysis and requirements gathering

Experience with vendor management and coordination

Proven ability in customer-facing roles and stakeholder management

Strong documentation and technical writing skills

Experience creating project scope documents and business requirements

Ability to conduct stakeholder interviews and gather detailed requirements

Understanding of project intake processes and assessment methodologies

Experience determining project effort and complexity scoring

Strong communication skills for coordinating between multiple parties

Ability to work independently and manage multiple workstreams

Experience creating user stories for development teams

Comfortable working with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Strong organizational and time management skills

Desired Skills & Experience

Experience with government procurement and contracting processes

Public sector or state government IT project experience

Familiarity with ADOT (Arizona Department of Transportation) or similar agencies

Experience with LucidChart for process mapping and documentation

Proficiency with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)

Experience with Smartsheet or similar project management tools

Background in IT modernization or legacy system replacement projects

Understanding of agile methodologies and user story creation

Experience with project scoring and prioritization frameworks

Vendor selection and RFP process experience

Change management experience in government settings

Experience with long-term strategic planning (multi-year projects)

Technical background or understanding of IT infrastructure

CBAP or similar business analysis certifications

Experience with value assessment and business case development

50% Vendor Management and Coordination (working with vendors, coordinating requirements, managing relationships)

30% Requirements Gathering and Documentation (conducting interviews, creating documentation, writing user stories)

20% Project Intake and Assessment (reviewing project proposals, scoring effort, coordinating with internal teams)
