We’re supporting a large enterprise team that partners directly with Arizona state agencies on technology modernization efforts. This is a customer‑facing Business Analyst role focused on requirements gathering, documentation, project intake workflows, and coordinating with internal technical teams. This team is growing quickly and plays a critical role in shaping the first phase of statewide projects. You’ll get direct exposure to high‑visibility programs and the chance to collaborate with both executive‑level stakeholders and technical SMEs. The environment is organized, communicative, and built for someone who loves clarity, structure, and working across multiple groups to ensure requirements are airtight before development begins.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, or Systems Analyst

Proven experience gathering requirements and documenting workflows/processes

Strong stakeholder communication skills, both customer‑facing and internal

Background in government, public sector, or other regulated environments

Ability to translate business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria

Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, LucidChart, Visio, or Smartsheet

Highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills & Experience

Experience supporting intake‑heavy or vendor‑led project models

Familiarity with effort scoring, prioritization models, or discovery frameworks

Exposure to modernization or enterprise system integration projects

Ability to thrive in structured, documentation‑heavy environments

What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown

30% Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools (user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows)

25% Lucidchart / Visio (process flows, diagrams, mapping)

20% Google Suite / Microsoft 365 (documentation, presentations, intake summaries)

15% Smartsheet (tracking, intake logs, requirement records)

10% General SDLC tools and BA documentation frameworks
