Summary of Job Duties The Manager of Radiology provides leadership and direction for day‑to‑day operational management of one or more diagnostic imaging services, maintaining good rapport with medical staff and other UAMS employees.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership and direction for the day‑to‑day operational management of Interventional Radiology services.
Perform human resource management tasks including recruitment & retention, analyzing staff mix, ensuring competency through development and evaluation, and providing disciplinary counseling.
Promote team building and career growth to maximize productivity and job satisfaction, including willingness to perform clinical work with direct reports when appropriate.
Ensure customer satisfaction by analyzing complaints, concerns, and suggestions, and providing appropriate follow‑through.
Monitor the operating budget, collaborate with supply chain to maintain proper stock, review and report significant variances, work with coders to maximize reimbursement, and promote measures to stay within budget.
Plan and organize staff & facilities to meet patient needs.
Provide leadership training on new technologies.
Evaluate the quality of images, procedures, and services.
Ensure cost‑effective operations and value to the patient.
Ensure all regulatory requirements (State, Federal, Joint Commission) are met.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Administrative Director and/or Assistant Director.
Qualifications
Minimum: Bachelor’s in Science – Radiology plus five (5) years as a working technologist.
National certification in any discipline (ARRT, NMTCB, ARDMS, etc.).
Licensed by the ADH if applicable.
State of Arkansas Radiography license.
Persons must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
Salary Information Commensurate with education and experience.
