As a
Registered Nurse
with Sentara, you will assess/admit patients, perform rounding checks, give medications, communicate with families, and oversee overall patient care in the Medical Oncology unit. Teamwork is integral to delivering the best care.
$15K sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available for qualified candidates. New graduate sign-on bonus, nurse residency program, education assistance (BSN degree), loan repayment available.
Licensing & Certification
Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
Education
RN-Associate’s Degree or
RN-Bachelor’s Degree or
RN-Diploma or
RN-Master’s Degree
Responsibilities
Administer chemotherapy/biotherapy drugs (certification required after 6 months).
Provide pre/post-surgical care.
Deliver hospice and palliative care.
Manage sickle cell patients.
Other oncology unit duties as assigned.
