Position Overview Responsible for constructing and repairing fiberglass boat hulls, decks, and small parts. This role involves using a variety of tools and materials to ensure high‑quality finishes and structural integrity.
Essential Functions
Examine and measure boat parts and components to ensure they meet specified standards and tolerances.
Use precision tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines, to verify dimensions and detect defects or inconsistencies.
Meticulously document inspection findings and maintain accurate records of quality checks.
Required Qualifications
Previous experience in quality control or inspection, preferably in a manufacturing or marine environment.
Proficiency with precision measuring tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines.
Excellent attention to detail for identifying defects and inconsistencies in parts and components.
Ability to meticulously document inspection findings and maintain accurate records.
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Advanced proficiency with precision measuring tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines.
Proven ability to identify and resolve quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
Strong ability to meticulously document inspection findings and maintain accurate records.
Working Conditions Maintain cleanliness, ensure safety compliance including PPE adherence and safety policy adherence, and practice safe behaviors and conditions. Must possess the desire and ambition to always work safely and report all hazards to supervisor immediately. Must understand basic terminology such as OSHA, DEP, and other regulatory agencies and be able to wear required personal protective equipment where designated, including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.
Compensation & Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.60 – $25.05 hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job‑related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus or short‑term incentive program. This position is also eligible for an award target as part of Brunswick’s long‑term incentive program.
