Base pay range $41.00/hr - $41.00/hr

RN - Wound Care Nurse

6 Months Contract

Rate: $44/Hour on W2 (Without Benefits)

Schedule:

Options: 7am-3pm, 8am-4pm or 8am-5pm.

Requirements for Position:

Hepatitis B vaccination or declination of offered vaccine

CPR/BLS Card

TB Skin Test: 2 Step

License/Certification for Position: RN

Job Description Position Description

Perform wound assessments, reassessments and management for all patients and per policies and procedures

Develop skin care programs to prevent skin breakdown of residents

Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to manage residents with draining wounds, fistulae and/or tubes; wound prevention, wound care, ostomy care, and incontinence

Revise plan of care as indicated by the resident's response to treatment and evaluate overall plan for effectiveness

Assess and reassess pain

Utilize appropriate pain management techniques and educate residents and family regarding pain management

Serve as a resource to nursing and other facility staff by providing in‑services on wound prevention, wound care, ostomy care, and incontinence

Communicate appropriately and clearly to nursing staff and Physicians

Consult other healthcare professionals as appropriate to provide interdisciplinary approach to the resident's needs

Ensure that documentation meets current standards and practices

Attend training and continuing education classes in the areas of wound prevention, wound management and ostomies and stay current with changes, new advances/treatment in wound care

Qualifications

Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in Arizona

Certification as a Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse (CWOCN or Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN)

Must be able to obtain and retain a fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety

Current CPR card that was obtained by physical assessment
