Travis Club is positioned to become one of the most exceptional private golf communities in the country. Located on Lake Travis near Austin Texas, the club will feature a dramatic championship golf course designed by Beau Welling along with water access, wellness amenities, racquet sports, and a uniquely modern Golf House experience. The environment will be elevated, energetic, welcoming, and focused entirely on delivering memorable moments for members and their guests.
This is a rare opportunity to join the professional team before opening. You will help build the culture, create programming, and set the standards that define the entire golf experience. The First Assistant Golf Professional will be a key leader in teaching, tournament operations, junior development, member engagement, and the daily delivery of exceptional service.
Tentative Start Date - March 2026
Experience Required
PGA Associate or Member in good standing or actively pursuing PGA Associate program
Minimum 3 years of experience in golf operations with private club experience strongly preferred
Strong ability to teach players of every age and skill level
Working knowledge of the USGA Rules of Golf
Comfort with technology including event software, tee sheet systems and point of sale platforms
Excellent communication skills organization and leadership presence
Commitment to exceptional service standards and continuous improvement
Essential Responsibilities
Provide a professional and welcoming presence throughout all golf areas.
Lead and support staff in daily golf operations
Assist in the opening of the Golf Course, Practice Facilities, Comfort Stations, and the Golf House to the highest standard
Deliver private instruction and group training programs that grow the game
Create and lead junior golf programs that are fun, social and development focused
Play golf with members to promote strong relationships and a vibrant club community
Lead execution of tournaments, leagues and special events
