About the role You will work under the guidance of the Center Manager, assisting the Center Physician with medical matters, and will be responsible for donor eligibility, adverse event management, laboratory result review, and medical emergency response. Familiarity with plasma collection regulations and EHS practices is required.
How you will contribute
Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, assisting the Center Physician and providing transport to emergency care if needed.
Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical guidance regarding donor safety and eligibility.
Support the Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
Manage employee incidents and determine the need for occupational health evaluation per EHS guidance.
Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations related to pandemic threats.
What you bring to Takeda
High school diploma or recognized nursing program with state requirements; graduate equivalent accepted.
Active license or certification in the state of assignment: EMT‑Paramedic or EMT‑Advanced.
Current CPR and AED certification.
Fulfillment of state IV therapy requirements.
Completion of FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
Minimum two years experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

Compensation and Benefits Summary Hourly wage range: $22.04 – $30.31. Additional benefits for U.S. employees include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), short‑term and long‑term disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, holidays, wellness benefits, sick time (up to 80 hours per year), paid vacation (up to 120 hours for new hires). Salary will comply with state and local minimum wage requirements.
