3-month contract to hire
Pay Rate:
$50-$55 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities
Evaluate patients for chemotherapy-related toxicities, medication side effects, and overall health status
Review lab results and assess for treatment-related toxicity before administering medications
Confirm patient eligibility for prescribed infusion therapy and obtain/witness written consent when required
Provide patients with both verbal and written education regarding their condition, medications, and symptom management
Administer prescribed medications to infusion patients accurately and safely
Demonstrate proficiency in starting peripheral IVs, accessing CVADs, and delivering IV, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and oral medications per safety standards
Anticipate departmental needs by planning ahead and adjusting proactively
Organize and manage equipment, supplies, and medications according to patient requirements and physician orders
Requirements and Qualifications
Current active RN license
BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred
Hematology/Oncology experience
ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate (completed or willing to complete)
