Physical Therapist – Full‑time – $5,000 Sign‑On Bonus
Position: Physical Therapist (PT)
Location: Select Specialty Hospital – Wheeling (inside Wheeling Hospital, 2nd floor)
Schedule: Full Time, Monday‑Friday
Compensation: Up to $50.00 per hour
Sign‑On Bonus: $5,000
Help build our new therapy department! We are bringing our therapy services in house and looking for talented therapists to join our team. Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital committed to providing world‑class inpatient post‑ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. Responsibilities
Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment.
Promote continuous quality improvement.
Teach and counsel patients/families.
Set goals and develop treatment plans.
Work cooperatively to identify and solve patient‑specific and facility‑wide needs.
Participate in discharge planning for each patient, including placement, patient/family education, and adaptive equipment.
Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, PT and PTA students.
Conduct individual patient therapy regimens.
Monitor patient’s response to treatment and modify treatment during sessions, as needed.
Complete appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
Participate in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in‑services.
Minimum Qualifications
Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist required.
Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
