RN Behavioral Health FT Temp
– Springfield, MO – $55/hr.
This position works full‑time (day or night) on a temporary basis for 13 weeks, with the opportunity to transition to a FT regular or PRN position afterward.

Registered Nurse Essential Functions
Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
Develop and implement nursing care plans.
Maintain medical records and educate patients and their families about health conditions.
Deliver nursing care within the scope of practice and facility protocols.
Ensure physician orders are clear, transcribed appropriately, and comply with policy.
Continuously assess patient status and document pertinent information.
Notify physicians of significant changes (e.g., detox challenges, medical emergencies).
Ensure timely completion of nursing treatment plans upon admission.
Employ universal precautions in direct patient care.
Accurately administer medications and document controlled substance administration.
Process admission and discharge efficiently.
Maintain therapeutic rapport, professional boundaries, and rational detachment.
Coordinate unit activities and communicate professionally with all stakeholders.
Requirements
Accredited nursing degree and current RN license in Missouri (or eligibility).
Minimum one year of nursing experience; psychiatric or substance‑abuse experience preferred.
CPR, de‑escalation, and restraint certification (training provided upon hire).
First aid certification, if required by state or facility.
