About the Role The Physical Therapist Assistant will work closely under the direction of a Licensed Physical Therapist to help patients improve their quality of life through one‑on‑one exercise instruction, hands‑on care, and patient education.
Responsibilities
Assist in evaluation of client’s daily living skills and capacities to determine extent of abilities and limitations.
Support patients with all phases of physical therapy treatment, including exercise instruction, manual therapy techniques, activities of daily living, and isokinetic program.
Observe patients during treatments and report observations to the Physical Therapist.
Communicate with staff and other health team members to plan, modify, and coordinate treatment programs.
Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and documentation standards.
Qualifications
Current Florida Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) licensure.
HIPAA knowledge.
Outpatient PTA experience.
Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
