Overview A 10-bed Neuro Intensive Care Unit in Ocala is seeking experienced Neuro ICU RNs to join a high-acuity, fast-paced environment specializing in complex neurological and critical-care patients. This role is ideal for nurses passionate about neurocritical care, professional growth, and achieving excellent patient outcomes. Strong clinical reasoning and eagerness to learn are highly valued.
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based neurocritical care
Perform neurological assessments, reassessments, and continuous monitoring
Complete all procedures and interventions per provider orders with accurate documentationli>
Administer medications safely and evaluate patient responses
Escalate changes in condition promptly
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and follow-up needs
Support non-pharmacological care strategies, including prevention and lifestyle education
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans
Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the Neuro ICU
Qualifications Required:
Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience (within the last 3 years)
High-acuity experience preferred; strong med-surg backgrounds considered
Associate Degree in Nursing
Active Florida RN license or approved multistate license
BLS within 30 days of hire
ACLS within 90 days of hire
Preferred:
Interest or prior experience in neurocritical care and management of complex neurological conditions
