Summary
As the group sales manager, you will embody the ethos of the Miraval wellbeing brand, be a competent individual who has experience in the sales process and function of a hotel. The ideal candidate specializes in selling guest rooms, meeting space, and other Miraval services. This includes managing accounts, conducting site inspections, soliciting, and generating business. It is pivotal that this candidate also works as a team player with the sales and events staff and is in close contact with the assigned Coordinator and other support staff. With a proven track record of revenue‑growing sales tactics, the ideal candidate challenges norms and welcomes new and unique sales models within the wellbeing resort industry revenue‑forward prospecting tactics. Reporting to the Group Sales Director, this position is a full‑time salary position that is located at the resort.
Specific Duties
Shows enthusiasm and is personally motivated from within, as opposed to outside stimulus
Maintains accurate, correct, and complete records of all transactions and contracts within sales files and Envision edits
Keeps a clean record of the sales process within the Group Sales Booking comments and actively uses the Envision Trace System
Consistently follows up on customer inquiries and phone messages within required response times
Meets and exceeds standards for customer follow‑up with paperwork and requests
Maintain strong customer relationships
Proper utilization of the envision trace system to manage solicitation efforts as well as account management
Demonstrates a consistently high level of participation in meetings and brainstorming sessions
Meets project deadlines consistently and completes assigned projects
Sets own goals and objectives and strives to complete each on time
Individual maintains complete and accurate knowledge of their resort and group offerings
Works side by side with Sales, Event and Marketing Staff
Works closely with Revenue Management to quote group business based on budget and hotel need periods
Produces sales contracts and manages correspondence
Demonstrates awareness of established goals for property and the role played in Sales process to achieve and/or exceed these goals
Conducts hotel site tours
Participates in events as designated by Director including resort familiarization trips
Any other duties as assigned by Director of Sales

Qualifications
Embraces the ethos and culture of the Miraval wellbeing brand
University degree or diploma qualification in Sales or Marketing and/or Hospitality or Tourism Management or industry experience equivalent
Minimum 3 years' manager experience within a 4-5 star hotel sales environment
Understands that the Miraval clientele may vary from traditional hotels in regard to target audiences, size of group and intention of visit
Excellent emotional intelligence
Effective as a team player within the Sales Department, as well as the hotel in general
Ability to easily and willingly adapt to a change of policy, procedures, and work environment
Proven track record in achieving targets and yield management
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Passion for direct sales and willingness to jump in to assist to team as needed
Demonstrates active listening skills with customers and fellow employees
Accurately documents, files, and provides required documentation for proper implementation of work; i.e., office sales files, GSB's, lost business reports, solicitation reports, roadmaps, etc.
Has a pro‑active approach and anticipates guest needs
