Your Role as a
Lab Technician : The Lab Technician is responsible for testing products at various stages of the manufacturing process to ensure all customer requirements and safety standards are met. This role uses multiple testing methodologies, inspection tools, and documentation systems to verify product quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Testing & Inspection
Conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections of mechanical properties, including tensile strength, hardness, and discontinuities
Use tensile machines, hardness testers, mounting and polishing equipment, and magnetic particle inspection tools
Program, set up, and safely operate testing equipment according to requirements
Quality Control & Documentation
Interpret test results against industry standards and customer specifications
Verify and validate material chemistry certifications per specified standards
Log, track, and maintain test results using computer systems and proprietary software
Communicate non-conforming results with appropriate departments
Additional Duties
Perform other duties as requested and required
What You Need to Succeed:
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Previous lab or manufacturing experience preferred but not required
Magnetic Particle Inspection Certification preferred (training available)
Physical Demands:
Lift or carry 5–25 lbs
Ability to perform the following during an entire 8–10 hour shift:
Speaking and hearing
Standing and walking
Bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting
Grasping, pinching, pushing, and pulling
Repetitive movement
Clear close vision (within 20 inches)
Ability to distinguish colors
