Psychologist – Cardiology and Medical Inpatient Consultation and Inpatient Liaison

We are seeking a psychologist to join our growing psychology team. This position will include opportunities to expand the services provided by our established Inpatient Consultation/Liaison team. The psychologist hired for this position will support our medical floors with psychological consult and brief intervention for youth admitted for medical concerns (pain, adjustment following serious illness or injury, adherence to medical recommendations, etc.). A portion of the time will be spent with the cardiology team, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team caring for youth with a variety of cardiac conditions (POTS, single‑ventricle defects, etc.). Strong interdisciplinary skills and experience in a pediatric medical setting will be important.
Responsibilities
Provide psychological consults and brief interventions on medical floors.
Coordinate with the cardiology team and other interdisciplinary members.
Participate in the Inpatient Consultation/Liaison service.
Engage in training and research opportunities as per candidate interest.
Qualifications
Ph.D. or Psy.D. in child clinical psychology, pediatric psychology, or counseling.
Completion of an internship in an APA/CPA‑accredited child psychology/pediatric psychology program.
Eligibility for licensure in Ohio and completion of a formal fellowship/postdoctoral program required.
Board certification through the American Board of Professional Psychology must be obtained within 5 years of hire.
Experience with medical populations preferred.
