About the Unit This is an award-winning unit specializing in ortho, spine, and bariatrics, with a ratio of 1:5 or 1:6. These are all short stay populations with heavy discharge turnover. If you enjoy a quick pace- this is the place for you! The unit emphasizes comprehensive staff development through a robust orientation program where managers and educators meet biweekly to optimize learning, making it an ideal environment for both experienced nurses and new graduates seeking skill development.
Our surgeons and team are nationally recognized for excellence through the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program MBSAQIP. To achieve this, we voluntarily undergo in-depth independent peer evaluations. MBSAQIP accreditation promotes uniform standards and continuous quality improvement.
