Job Summary The Sterile Processing Technician III is a certified technician whose areas of responsibilities cover decontamination, assembling, sterilizing, storing, and distributing surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment according to established standards/guidelines. The SP Tech III demonstrates personal and professional effectiveness when working in an indirect patient care department and addressing the request of the customer or provider.
Minimum Qualifications Education
High School Diploma or GED
Central Service Technology Course/Or Equivalent Work Experience (at least one year experience in central sterile processing)
Licenses & Certifications
One of the following: CRCST, CSPDT, or CRMST
One of the following: CIS or CER
Work Experience
Three (3) years' experience with Central Sterile Processing
Communication Skills
Above Average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact)
Writing/ Reports: Legible handwriting and coherent writing
Proficiencies
PC: Skills must be appropriate to meet the job requirements
