Responsibilities
Prepare and oversee structural calculations and designs for a variety of building projects, including gravity and lateral force-resisting systems. Develop structural detailing and coordinate structural construction documents across disciplines. Conduct site visits, observe existing conditions and construction progress, and prepare engineering letters or recommendations as required. Review shop drawings, perform back-checks of structural documents, and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs). Assist with managing departmental personnel, including mentoring junior engineers and supporting workload distribution. Support project management efforts, including coordination, scheduling, and quality control of structural deliverables. Work closely with leadership to support department growth, standards, and best practices. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering . Minimum of 7 years of professional structural engineering experience. Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required. Demonstrated experience designing with all typical construction materials, including steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and wood. Strong knowledge of applicable building codes and standards. Proven ability to lead technical work while supporting team and project management functions.
