What You Will Do MSS RULOB/CMR ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of RLUOB/CMR nuclear facilities through performance‑based maintenance practices. This position is for an Operations Maintenance Coordinator (OMC) within the MSS‑CWF organization (Maintenance and Site Services). The Work Week Coordinator (WWC) role walks through each scheduled week of activities from T‑8 (T‑Week) to T‑2 for schedule freeze, executes at T‑0, and critiques work‑week performance at T+1. The OMC is expected to drive problem‑solving with coordination of resources and facility availability in the integrated database and MSS production database. As a WWC, you will coordinate with organizational stakeholders to ensure MSS scheduled work aligns with the programmatic production schedule. The WWC should have a comprehensive knowledge of scheduled work and is responsible for understanding interactions between work groups, coordination, and hand‑offs that must occur to effectively complete work.

Ensures schedule development utilizing P6, preparation, readiness, and execution.

Reports and presents to MSS management on schedule adherence and locked‑in work completion metrics.

Acts as the primary spokesperson for schedule status during Plan of the Week/Plan of the Day.

Participates in outage development and coordination.

Assists in long‑range planning that includes major design changes and predictive and periodic maintenance activities.

Reviews proper methodologies for work priorities, ensuring the correct work is performed in the appropriate timeframe.

Investigates, recommends, and develops method improvements impacting safety, work implementation, planning, scheduling, and acceptance testing.

Participates in detailed schedule development for the planning and execution of all tasks for the assigned workweek to ensure TSR compliance.

What You Need Minimum Job Requirements Strategic Communication:

Ability to conceptualize and professionally communicate major elements of facility maintenance to both technical and non‑technical components.

Technical:

Ability to understand and interpret various mechanical and electrical documents, blueprints, drawings, and schematics. Knowledge of a Computerized Maintenance Management System, e.g., Asset Suites. Ability to manage and track priority emergent work for their assigned T‑Week.

Business Systems & Processes:

Understanding of work control, maintenance and/or materials management. Understanding of work hazards, safety practices and lock‑out/tag‑out policies and procedures for LANL facilities. Ability to fully utilize and manipulate a computerized work management system, personal computer software, and site licensed programs in creating and maintaining maintenance reports.

Facility Management:

Working knowledge of and in‑depth experience with facility, mechanical, and/or electrical maintenance management. Experience with facility management including systems engineering design or maintenance, work control, facility control systems, major construction projects, upgrades, or renovations.

Education/Experience:

Position requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and related experience.

DOE 426.2A Minimum Requirements:

Position requires a high school diploma.

Desired Qualifications

Active Q Clearance.

Strong negotiation skills.

Demonstrated ability with conflict resolution.

Previous schedule management experience.

Full understanding of the Laboratory’s maintenance and facility policies, practices, and procedures.

Demonstrated ability to lead, plan, and organize a variety of missions to ensure schedule execution.

Experience in facility Operations, Engineering and/or Maintenance.

Advanced P6 experience.

Experience in project and program management, including planning, organizing, and resource management.

Work Location The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management.

Position Commitment Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. If an employee has not served the required time, they may only apply for Laboratory jobs with the documented approval of their Division Leader. The position commitment for this position is 1 year.

Additional Details Directive 206.2 - Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2. Please note that this requirement applies only to citizens of the United States. Foreign nationals are subject to a similar requirement under DOE Order 142.3A.

Clearance: Q (Position will be cleared to this level). Selected applicants will be subject to a background investigation conducted by or on behalf of the Federal Government, and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter. This position requires a Q clearance and obtaining such clearance requires U.S. Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon the position, additional authorization to access classified information may be required, which may or may not be available to dual citizens. Receipt of a Q clearance and additional access authorization ultimately is a decision of the Federal Government and not of Triad.

Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.

426.2A: This position is subject to DOE Order 426.2A, Personnel Selection, Training, and Qualification Requirements for DOE Nuclear Facilities, which establishes entry‑level requirements to ensure candidates selected for specific positions can successfully perform the requirements of the job.

New‑Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new‑employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Although New Mexico and other states have legalized the use of marijuana, use and possession of marijuana remain illegal under federal law. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre‑offer.

Regular Position: Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular‑status positions are converted to regular status.
