Summary
The Electrician Assistant III will work under the supervision and instruction of a Maintenance Electrician to learn, assist, and perform the duties of a Maintenance Electrician as follows. Essential Functions (responsibilities, tasks, supervisory needs)

Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment. Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables. Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers, such as Maintenance Machine Repairer and Maintenance Tool Maker, to diagnose malfunction. Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices. Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards. Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors. Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment. Understands and follows safe working procedures. Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings. This is a nonexempt position with an hourly base pay rate. Team members can expect to work a typical rotation of 3-months at our Alaska shoreplant and 1-month on furlough throughout the calendar year. Work weeks provide a high volume of overtime pay. The estimated gross weekly earning for this role would be about $2,803. Employees working in Alaska are advised to have medical insurance coverage which is valid in the State of Alaska. 2 years of experience as a maintenanceelectrician (level I or II) Ability to read and write basic English, proficient in basic arithmetic. Knowledge of and ability to use standard industry hand and power tools. OSHA 10 training. Arc Flash and Contact release training. Fall protection training. Preferred Education and Experience

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
