to learn more about our company, clients, and career opportunities. We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Tech II to perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on our transit vehicle fleet. This role requires advanced technical expertise in diesel systems, electrical components, and major vehicle systems to ensure safe and reliable operations. Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
Diagnose complex malfunctions and perform repairs on transit buses and heavy-duty vehicles Service and repair major systems including engines, transmissions, drive trains, brakes, steering, electrical, cooling, lubrication, and suspension Rebuild engines and perform system overhauls as needed Test-drive vehicles post-repair to verify issues are resolved Quality Assurance & Compliance
Coordinate inspections and approvals for major repairs before vehicle release Ensure compliance with safety regulations at federal, state/provincial, and local levels Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts, and work performed using the company's maintenance system Field Operations
Respond to road calls and perform emergency repairs in the field Identify and report additional maintenance needs during routine work Workplace Safety & Communication
Maintain a clean and safe work environment Report unsafe conditions or vehicle abuse to the Maintenance Manager Collaborate effectively within team and independently Required Qualifications
Experience & Skills
2-4 years of medium/heavy-duty truck mechanic experience Advanced diagnostics for complex vehicle systems Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and repair Air conditioning system service expertise Knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines Experience with transit or commercial fleet preferred We Offer
