Trinity Health Grand Rapids Hospital, 3 Lacks is a 32‑bed all‑private acute care unit that serves patients ages 65 and older. It is a high‑acuity adaptable unit with patients on telemetry, cardiac drips, high‑flow oxygen, Bi‑PAP, etc. The older adult population can deteriorate quickly, so the unit requires a high level of assessment skills and the ability to advocate for each patient’s needs. This unit is fast‑paced and provides nurse‑directed care.

Shift:
Night Shift (2–12 hour shifts, 7 p.m.–7:30 a.m.)
Position Summary:
Registered Nurse, RN works in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team. An RN is expected to facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience and provide evidence‑based individualized care.
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct patient care in a high‑acuity geriatric unit.
Perform thorough assessments and advocate for patient needs.
Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to provide evidence‑based patient care.
Document patient care and facilitate all aspects of the visit experience.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited nursing school and program.
Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
For Grand Rapids employees who hold an ADN, must enroll in a BSN program within 6 months of hire and complete within 4 years of hire.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.
Current BLS certification.
